One Month to Live
What would you do if you had only one month to live?
I started asking that question nearly two months ago as we began preparing for our six-week One Month to Live Challenge. In this series, I’m challenging all of us to live life as if we had only a month to live. Together, we’re discovering four universal principles seen in the life of Christ. Jesus knew when he had a month left before His crucifixion, and during that time he lived passionately, loved completely, learned humbly and left boldly. And He calls us to live the same.
It’s amazing to realize how much our lives and priorities would change if we knew we were going to leave this earth in 30 days. You’d spend time with those closest to you. You’d forgive and ask for forgiveness from people. Your priorities would become crystal clear.
This challenge isn’t just a Sunday morning thing. It’s a 24/7 thing. It’s not about time management, it’s about life management. With two Sundays into the series, I’m pleased to report that we’ve had an average of 124 people at the first two services, along with 54 people signing up for one of our six small group options this Fall.
If you’ve signed up for a small group, jump in fully for these few weeks! Remember that we were created for community, and that life formation happens when we commit to the community of believers in small groups. These small groups will help you to get the most out of this series. If you haven’t signed up or started attending yet, go for it! There’s still room for you!
